Tom Merle

Tom Merle is the General Manager at Fikst, a dynamic product development and engineering consulting firm located in Wilmington, MA, that works with pioneering clients to develop their technology, design their products, and bring those products through to production.   

Tom has over 37 years of experience in technology development, product commercialization, and manufacturing.  Prior to joining Fikst in early 2023, Tom was with Eastman Kodak in the R&D organization, EPAM – Continuum as the Chief Development Officer/GM for the Advanced Systems business, the US Army Research Lab in Natick, MA as the Chief Innovation Officer, and McKinsey & Co as a Senior Expert in Operations and Product Development. 

Tom is the listed inventor on 26 US and international patent and holds a BS in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering from Clarkson University where he graduated with Great Distinction.
